I walked to Red Shirt Lake years ago and decided it might be a nice change of scene from the same old trails that I do all the time. The trail is so nice that I ran most of the way and so did my dog. You can even rent a canoe there if you reserve it before the hike. But I just wanted to hike to the lake again.
It's a lovely place and there was no one else there.
