We tried this route yesterday with the Valley Wanderers and I had to turn back because it was too cold and the snow was too deep for Bella. So today we tried again and after we reached the little blue chair, we took a different route back, following the Bottom Loop then Subway to College Connector then followed the fence line route back to the Crevasse Moraine parking lot. I was glad I didn't have to carry Bella in my pack like yesterday, trudging though the snow with snowshoes. We still did about 4 miles. We saw lots of bald eagles in the trees along the fence line, because that fence borders the landfill. They were waiting for good morsels of leftover garbage from the dump. They didn't seem too concerned about us.
