Baby and I hiked the Twin Peaks Trail to the overlook at the first bench with my friend Alice. The conditions were great, with very hard packed snow if you stayed on the trail. Off the packed trail it immediately gets deep and loose. We needed our ice gripers the whole way. The weather was nice, not too cold, and happily, no wind. It was blowing quite hard down in Palmer. The view from the overlook is so beautiful so we spent a little time there just enjoying it and taking pictures. I feel like I have a million photos taken from that spot. But I never get tired of seeing it. The lake is totally frozen now, but the last time I checked, the skiing conditions weren't very good. We didn't have time to check today.
